The Nepal Army has conducted aerial patrols and mount/dismount exercises using helicopters in Ramechhap ahead of the House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21.
The patrol and exercise was conducted at 10:45 am on Tuesday in the area around Hildevi in Ramechhap district under the command of Subash Thapa, a soldier under the Special Forces Battalion based at the East Pritana Headquarters.
As part of the exercise, the troops were mounted and dismounted at the required places by conducting aerial reconnaissance/patrols through helicopters.
The patrol and exercise was conducted with the aim of preparing for potential security challenges during the upcoming election period, enhancing rapid response capabilities, and strengthening peace and security in the district. The Nepali Army deployed from the Khadga Dal Battalion of the Nepali Army in Ramechhap has continued its security activities to ensure a safe and peaceful conduct of the election.
The Nepali Army has intensified its security activities by reaching all 96 polling stations in the district and conducting extensive patrols.
