Vehicle carrying election materials crashes in Ramechhap, details of damage yet to be released

A vehicle carrying election materials and staff has met with an accident in Ramechhap. According to locals, the vehicle fell from the Swami Danda cliff near the ward office in Ramechhap Municipality-2.

The vehicle that crashed was reportedly carrying election materials and staff to the Sheetaladevi polling station in Ward 2 and the Sanghutar ward office polling station in Ward 3.

Police Inspector Rajan Prasad Timsina of the District Police Office, Ramechhap, said that no further details were available except that there were 5 to 7 people in the crashed vehicle, including security personnel and staff. 

He said that the exact details of the human and material losses have not been received yet as the vehicle skidded off the difficult and steep terrain.
