The number of people who lost their lives in a truck accident carrying election materials and staff has reached 2. One more person died during treatment at Manthali Hospital, said the hospital's chief Dr. Keshav Dhami.

The person who lost his life during treatment has been identified as Dor Prasad Ghimire, the hospital said. He was a polling officer at the polling station in Sanghutar Ward Office Building 'Kha', Ramechhap Municipality-2. The deceased Ghimire is also a teacher at Rudraksheshwor Secondary School in Manthali Municipality-7.

On Monday afternoon, a truck carrying election materials and staff fell from the Siruwari cliff near the ward office in Ramechhap Municipality-2. Six people were injured in the accident, while three managed to jump to their lives.

Earlier, Nepal Police ASI RP Yadav died at the scene of the accident.

According to Raviraj Khadka, the polling officer at the Sheetala Devi Secondary School polling station in Ramechhap Municipality-2, three people including him managed to jump out of the vehicle and survive. Two men and three women who were injured in the accident have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment by a Nepali Army helicopter, said Rajan Prasad Timsina, Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Ramechhap.
