Two temporary polling stations have been set up in Makawanpur for the House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21. Hari Prasad Dhakal, chief of the Provincial Election Office, Hetauda, ​​said that there will be one polling station each at Bhimphedi Prison and the District Administration Office, Makawanpur.

There are 3,307 voters for these polling stations. There are 995 female and male prisoners in Bhimphedi Prison. But only 75 names are in the voter list. There are 3 female and 72 male voters. The names of the other prisoners are not in the voter list. A prison employee said that the names of the other prisoners are not in the voter list because the Election Office did not send prison staff to register their names in the voter list. Voters at temporary polling stations can vote only in the proportional representation.

Apart from the temporary polling stations, there are 167 polling stations in Makawanpur. Out of these, 19 polling stations have been placed on the list of highly sensitive from a security perspective. The District Security Committee meeting has placed polling stations in 6 out of 10 local levels of the district on the list of highly sensitive based on security sensitivity.

Out of the 167 polling stations across the district, 19 have been placed in the highly sensitive category, 60 in the sensitive category and 88 in the general category, according to the District Police Office, Makawanpur. According to Police Spokesperson Pushkar Bogati, there are 26 polling stations on the highly sensitive list.

The highest number of polling stations and 7 polling stations are in Bakaiya Rural Municipality, with 5 polling stations and 6 polling stations. Similarly, 6 polling stations and 6 polling stations are in Raksirang Rural Municipality, 5 polling stations and 6 polling stations are in Bagmati Rural Municipality, 1 polling station and 3 polling stations are in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality, 1 polling station and 3 polling stations are in Manahari Rural Municipality, and 1 polling station and 1 polling station are in Kailash Rural Municipality. 

Similarly, 60 polling stations and 123 polling stations have been placed on the sensitive list in the district. 

The sensitive polling stations include 7 polling stations and 31 polling stations in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City, 9 polling stations and 17 polling stations in Thaha Municipality, 13 polling stations and 17 polling stations in Raksirang Rural Municipality, 8 polling stations and 15 polling stations in Bakaiya Rural Municipality, and 7 polling stations and 17 polling stations in Bagmati Rural Municipality.  

Similarly, 4 polling stations and 7 polling stations in Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality, 2 polling stations and 2 polling stations in Indrasarobar Rural Municipality, 4 polling stations and 4 polling stations in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality, 3 polling stations and 5 polling stations in Kailash Rural Municipality, and 3 polling stations and 8 polling stations in Manahari Rural Municipality have also been included in the sensitive list. There are 374 polling stations in 167 polling stations in Makawanpur. 

There are 178 polling stations in 62 polling stations in Makawanpur-1 constituency. There are 158,434 voters. Similarly, there are 196 polling stations in 105 polling stations in Makawanpur-2 constituency. There are 156,899 voters.  There are 315,334 voters in Makawanpur, which has 2 constituencies.
