Nepali Congress central member Mathura Prasad Ghimire has warned that strict action will be taken against anyone who interferes within the party in the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21.

Central member Ghimire, who was deployed to Ramechhap from the Congress center for the election campaign, said at a press conference held in Manthali on Monday that there is a suspicion of collusion across the country and that the party leadership is serious about this issue.

He said, 'There is a suspicion of collusion across the country now. But now the new leadership led by President Gagan Thapa is serious about this issue. Whether it is the past or present Congress and taking Congress facilities but colluding and dividing votes without supporting the party, provide such evidence to the center, and action will be taken.'

According to Ghimire, the central committee has formed a disciplinary committee on Sunday to prevent collusion and strictly enforce party discipline.

He informed that a three-member inclusive disciplinary committee has been formed under the coordination of leader Taraman Gurung. He said, 'The committee was not formed just to sing hymns and songs, like before. The committee will take action based on evidence.'

He said that although it is permissible to express dissatisfaction and express opinions within the party using the rights granted by the statute, activities carried out with the intention of defeating the party's own candidate during the election would be unacceptable.

He expressed confidence that the victory of Congress candidate Ramchandra Khadka in this election will be assured as he found that the Congress is moving forward as a united front in Ramechhap. At the press conference, he openly praised party president Gagan Thapa, who has been put forward by the Congress as the future Prime Minister. He said, 'There is no other character and leader who can lead this country better than Gagan Thapa, make Nepal advanced and developed, and serve the Nepalis.'
