Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said that the National Service Corps training conducted by the Nepali Army for students has played a major role in national unity and integrity.

She made the remarks while addressing the graduation ceremony of students at the Army's Central Training School in Hattikhor, eastern Nawalparasi, on Tuesday.

She discussed the important role of discipline in the security of the country. Prime Minister Karki said that the National Service Corps training provided by the Army to students is important for the role of service spirit in the country. She said that the role of students graduated from the National Service Corps is important in national security along with other disasters. 

530 students from 18 schools across the country participated in the graduation ceremony on Tuesday after completing 100 days of training. The closing ceremony of the National Service Corps training conducted by the Nepal Army was held here. The Army has been providing students with training on patriotism, disaster preparedness and physical fitness.

She observed the students' parade, sports and games organized at the Army Barracks in Hattikhor. On that occasion, she distributed shields, insignia and certificates to the students and soldiers who excelled during the training period. The Prime Minister, who arrived at the Nepal Army Training Center in Hattikhor by helicopter, has returned to Kathmandu after completing the program.
