Similarly, Nepali citizens who were going to Kerung to return home for work have been stopped in Chinese territory after crossing the Nepal-China Miteri Bridge after the road was blocked. Police Inspector Bikram Kunwar of the Border Police Office, Timure, informed that work is underway to clear the landslide with the help of excavators to reopen the highway. According to him, the landslide site is about 29 kilometers north of the district headquarters, Dhunche.
Police Inspector Kunwar informed that pedestrians will be allowed to move only after analyzing the risk situation due to the large size of the landslide. The police have urged passengers to be vigilant, keeping safety in mind.
