The written examination for candidates who applied to join the Election Police for the upcoming election of members of the House of Representatives to be held on Falgun 21 was completed in Hetauda on Thursday.
A written test was conducted for those who passed the initial health check and physical test among those who applied for the election police. The written test was conducted in the open field of the Provincial Police Office Hetauda in Thanabharyang, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-11.
2,150 people participated in the written test. Those who pass the written test will be interviewed and recruited into the election police, said Pushkar Bogati, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office Makawanpur. He said that those who pass the interview will be given basic training immediately.
2,132 election police officers will be recruited from the District Police Office Makawanpur and the Armed Police Force No. 14 Battalion Hetauda. It has been stated that 179 people will be recruited for the Armed Police Force No. 14 Battalion Hetauda and 1,923 election police officers will be recruited for the District Police Office Makawanpur.
At least 33 percent of the total number to be recruited will be women, according to the District Police Office Makawanpur.
