Bista of Thaha Municipality-3, Ghartikhola, is the founding mayor of Thaha Municipality. UML has already decided to field former MP Mahesh Bartaula as its candidate for the constituency.
Congress, National Independent Party (NISP), RPP and other parties have not yet made their candidates public. In both constituencies of Makawanpur, parties other than UML have not made their candidates public. The parties are busy selecting candidates.
According to the election schedule, the candidates will file their nominations on Tuesday.
