In the House of Representatives elections on February 21, 19 out of 167 polling stations in Makawanpur have been placed on the highly sensitive list.

The District Security Committee meeting has placed 19 polling stations in 6 local levels on the highly sensitive list based on security sensitivity. 60 polling stations have been placed in the sensitive category and 88 in the general category, said District Police Spokesperson DSP Pushkar Bogati. According to him, 26 polling stations are included in the highly sensitive list of 19 polling stations.

The highest number of polling stations in Bakaiya Rural Municipality has been placed on the highly sensitive list, with 7 polling stations in 5 polling stations. The District Security Committee has stated that 6 polling stations and 6 centers in Raksirang Rural Municipality, 5 polling stations and 6 centers in Bagmati Rural Municipality, 1 polling station and 3 centers in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality, 1 polling station and 3 centers in Manahari Rural Municipality, and 1 polling station and 1 polling station in Kailash Rural Municipality have been placed on the highly sensitive list.

Makawanpur, which has 2 constituencies of the House of Representatives, has 62 polling stations and 178 polling stations in constituency number 1, while 105 polling stations and 196 polling stations have been designated in constituency number 2. There are 158,435 voters in constituency number 1, while there are 156,899 voters in constituency number 2. 

An office has been established for Makawanpur constituency numbers 1 and 2 in the building of the Provincial Agricultural Vegetable Wholesale Market located in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-11. District Judge Geeta Shrestha has been appointed as the Chief Election Officer and District Attorney Devendra Raj Acharya of the District Government Attorney's Office, Makawanpur has been appointed as the Election Officer.
