There are a large number of prisoners in Bhimphedi Regional Prison on drug charges. The prison chief said that more than 39 percent of the prisoners in the prison are on drug charges.

There are 977 prisoners in the prison in Bhimphedi, the former headquarters of Makawanpur, as of Tuesday morning. Of these, 389 are on drug charges. 

The largest number of drug prisoners in the prison is from Makawanpur, said Bhimphedi Prison Chief Subash Poudel. 

15 Indian citizens are also in prison on drug charges. After drug charges, there are prisoners on rape charges in the prison. 

According to the prison administration, 269 prisoners are on rape charges and 145 are on manslaughter charges. 

Bhimphedi Prison has 2 blocks for male prisoners, while women are kept in the old prison. They also have a child dependent. 

There are 34 female prisoners in Bhimphedi Prison. Of these, 12 are prisoners and 22 are prisoners. There are 44 foreign nationals in the prison. Of these, 22 are prisoners and 22 are prisoners. Of the 977 prisoners in the prison, 694 are prisoners and the rest are detainees, according to the prison administration.
