For the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21, more than 4.35 percent new voters have been added to Ramechhap district compared to the previous election.

Ramechhap, which has 64 wards under 2 municipalities and 6 rural municipalities, has added two polling stations this time as the number of voters has increased.

According to District Election Officer Narayan Lamichhane, there were 180,106 voters in Ramechhap in the 2079 BS House of Representatives election. Currently, with the addition of 7,846 voters, or 4.35 percent, the total number of voters has reached 187,952.

According to him, there are currently 96,892 male voters and 91,060 female voters in the district. The previous 96 polling stations remain the same. However, with the increase in the number of voters, two more polling stations have been added, reaching 228.

Among the added polling stations, one is at Saraswati Secondary School in Umakunda Rural Municipality-5, Sunuwardhara, and one is at Manakamana Secondary School in Manthali Municipality-11, Natila, according to the Election Office.

90 voters have been added to Saraswati Secondary School in Sunuwardhara and 182 voters have been added to Manakamana Secondary School in Natila. According to the District Election Office, Ramechhap, as per the decision of the interim government formed after the youth movement on Bhadra 23 and 24, the voter list was compiled from Asoj 9 to Mangsir 5.

During this period, nearly 6,000 people have registered their voter names in a new form. According to the Election Office, citizens who have registered their names in the voter list and will complete 18 years of age by Falgun 20 have been declared voters for this election.
