A 10-year-old girl has drowned in Sunarpani, Manthali Municipality-5 of the district.

Deepisa Bhujel, who went missing from her home at 8:30 am on Saturday, was found dead in an irrigation pond near her home at 5:30 pm, informed Rabin Karki (Nabin), ward chairperson of Manthali Municipality-5 Sunarpani. According to him, relatives and locals had searched for the girl after learning that she was missing. 

During the search, the girl's slippers were found near the pond. After this, the girl was found dead in the pond.

According to locals, the deceased girl was physically disabled. The incident has left the local community in mourning and sorrow.
