Five absconding accused who were convicted by the court were arrested

The police produced all five arrested persons in the district court on Wednesday to collect fines and imprisonment, said Pushkar Bogati, Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makawanpur.

Five absconding accused who were convicted by the court were arrested

Police arrested five people from different locations on Wednesday who were absconding after being convicted by the court in various criminal cases.

 Pradeep Upadhyay, 35, of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-9, who was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison in an assault case, was arrested by the police while hiding at home. Similarly, Bhoj Bahadur Qamar, 29, of Dhansai, Bagmati Rural Municipality-7, Makawanpur, was also arrested.

The court had sentenced Qamar to 25 days in prison in a theft case. But he was absconding. The police arrested him from the village. Another absconding accused, Dil Bahadur Sah, 20, of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4, was arrested. The court had imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on Sah in a robbery case. But he was absconding. 

Similarly, Dhan Bahadur Moktan, an absconding accused of Bakaiya Rural Municipality, Makawanpur, was also arrested. Rakesh Dubey, 25, of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-5, who was accused in a marital rape case, has been arrested by the police.
