While most of the Terai region is covered in thick fog, Chitwan still gets some sunshine during the day. Although the weather is not that warm, political tensions have also increased in Chitwan recently.

Political parties have increased their activities targeting the House of Representatives elections on Falgun 21.
The activities of old and new parties have increased the political heat in Chitwan. UML, which has been saying that elections will not be held on Falgun 21, and parties including Ujjaya Nepal, which opened on the eve of the elections, have recently been conducting political activities here.

After the Gen-G movement on Bhadra 23 and the situation changed after the demonstration the next day, UML, the new party Shram Sanskriti Party led by Dharan Sub-metropolitan Mayor Hark Sampang, and the National Independent Party (RSWP) held political demonstrations in Chitwan, while other newly formed parties have also organized organizational activities and meetings.

UML, which has been demanding the restoration of parliament, held a district-level demonstration in Narayangadh on Kartik 29. According to the UML's central policy and plan, programs were held at the ward and municipal levels nationwide and the district level on the said day. The then vice-president of the party, Ram Bahadur Thapa, had come to deliver a speech at the said program in Narayangadh.

He had commented that the dissolution of the parliament and the upcoming new elections were planned by the foreign power center. He said, 'The declared elections are a hoax and a honey trap for foreigners. That is why we are saying that the parliament should be restored.'

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) president Ravi Lamichhane loudly protested against this belief of the entire UML in Chitwan on Saturday. 'Those who are wondering whether to revive the parliament by saying that they will challenge the people's rebellion and those who are not, be careful. The blood of the martyr has not dried yet. The tears of the martyr's mother have not yet been wiped away, be careful! "Don't blink too much," Lamichhane said in a loud voice at a gathering of supporters in Chaubiskothi, Bharatpur on Saturday.

This was Lamichhane's first meeting after being released from prison, who was in prison in the cooperative fraud case. Where he stood firmly in favor of the elections announced on Falgun 2. Lamichhane was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Chitwan-2 in 2079 BS. After becoming the Home Minister, he also won the by-election there after the citizenship dispute. His name was implicated in the cooperative fraud case. It was found that around Rs 100 million in cash was illegally transferred from Chitwan's Sahara Cooperative, where he was a managing partner before entering politics, to Gorkha Media. There is also a case against Lamichhane in the Chitwan District Court in the cooperative fraud case.

He was also suspended from parliament after being charged with money laundering. The same parliament was dissolved after the Gen-G movement on Bhadra 23 and 24. When Lamichhane came here on Saturday after being released on bail in the Rupandehi District Court on Friday, there was a crowd of supporters in Chaubiskothi. He was excited to see the presence of supporters and said, "We were waiting for 84. Gen-G played it at 82." This level of supporter presence is not common at the programs of other parties, old or new.

Recently, UML and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have held programs in public places. But other parties have held programs in hotel and party palace halls rather than in public places. Like UML and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the new party Shram Sanskriti Party led by Dharan Sub-metropolitan Mayor Hark Sampang also had a thin attendance at the program held on Mangsir 21 at a public place, Narayangadh, on the banks of the Narayani River. Apart from these three parties, the other parties in the news have not held such open-air programs.

On Saturday, the same day as Lamichhane's program in Chaubiskothi, a gathering of the new party Ujjaya Nepal Party, sponsored by Kulman Ghising, was held in Chitwan. Ghising himself attended the gathering in a hotel hall in Bharatpur. Earlier, former IGP of Nepal Police Sabendra Khanal had also organized the formal announcement meeting of his newly formed party Samunnat Nepal Party in a hotel hall in Bharatpur on Mangsir 29.

Supporters of leaders including Janardan Sharma, who separated after the then Maoist Center, Unified Socialist Party and other parties were to be merged, have also shown organizational activity in Chitwan. Sharma's supporters, who were not involved in the unification process, had gathered in a hotel on Kartik 30. Thus, all the new and old parties are active in Chitwan.

Although some have organized programs in public and some in hotel halls according to the influence of their respective organizations and leadership, the Congress does not seem to have done much public activity except internally. However, the Congress has also sent the names of potential candidates for the House of Representatives and the National Assembly to the center as per the central circular. The regional committee has to recommend names for the House of Representatives from the three regions of Chitwan at the rate of three people, but since the number of names received is much higher than this number, all the names have been sent to the center by the district. The recommended names show that there are many candidate aspirants in the Chitwan Congress, which has not been able to do much outside activities.
