Elephants enter Bharatpur's Ganganagar, damage homes and shops

Wild elephants that entered a settlement in Ganganagar, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-13, have damaged homes and commercial premises this morning.

According to local Bishnu Lamichhane, the elephant damaged the walls of the rice mill he runs and also destroyed the rice stored in the mill. The elephant caused minor damage to the windows and walls of a grocery store and three houses, including the rice mill. 

Bharatpur-13 Ward Chairman Prakash Dawadi said that after the incident, the elephant was driven back to the forest with the help of the army and locals. In the past, Govinda, Ronaldo and Dhubra elephants had been terrorizing this area.
