Two people were seriously injured in a wild bear attack in the Khalchet area of southern Rasuwa today.
The injured have been identified as 65-year-old Man Bahadur Tamang of Naukunda Rural Municipality-5, Khalchet, and 50-year-old Shiva Prasad Gajurel of Kalika Rural Municipality-5, Digaun. Local Ram Prasad Poudel informed that they were attacked by a bear in the morning.
Locals have said that they were attacked by a bear that came out of the forest of Langtang National Park while they were cutting grass. Deputy Superintendent of Police Hem Bahadur Shahi informed that they have been sent to Kathmandu for further treatment.
