Bhimalaxmi Khadka, 72, of Sajetol, Manthali Municipality-14, Ramechhap, was murdered with a sharp weapon.
The District Police Office, Ramechhap, has stated that 26-year-old Dilip Khadka, who lives in his own village, attacked and killed Bhima.
The incident took place at around 10:30 pm last night. After the police received information at 12:30 am, a team led by Police Assistant Inspector Man Bahadur Tamang from Police Post Fulasi went to the scene.
A police team deployed from District Police Office, Ramechhap, reached the scene on Tuesday morning and collected the documents. The body of the deceased Bhima was brought to Manthali Hospital for postmortem, informed District Police Office Police Inspector Rajan Prasad Timsina.
According to him, Bhima had been living alone. Timsina said that Dilip, who killed him with a sharp weapon, is absconding after the incident, so the police are searching for him. According to the police, he is a person who was arrested and released on bail in cases of indecent behavior and theft.
He was murdered at around 10:30 pm and at 11 pm, he was found covered in blood and walking around the village saying, "I shot him, I finished him off." Locals informed the police.
According to the police, the incident site is about 5 kilometers south of the Fulasi police station and about 35 kilometers northwest of the Ramechhap District Police Office.
