Two people have died in a motorcycle accident on an inner road in Makawanpur.

The motorcycle driver, 39-year-old Bir Bahadur Gurung, of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-2 Chowkitol, and the rider, 35-year-old Chandra Bahadur Gurung, of Kawasoti Municipality-13, East Nawalparasi and currently residing in Chowkitol, Hetauda-2, died after their motorcycle fell off the Bungdol bridge in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-1 on the Samari-Dhading road section.

The motorcycle with registration number B.P. 03-005 Pa 7980, which was heading towards Aambhanjyang Dhading from Samari, fell about 50 feet off the Bungdol bridge. Police Inspector and Information Officer of the District Police Office, Makawanpur, Raju Prasad Kurmi said that both of them died on the spot. The motorcycle accident is believed to have occurred at night. Locals who were going to the market to buy milk through the bridge on Sunday morning had informed the police after seeing the accident.
