According to the Jatra Management Committee, the goddess will be formally taken from Bhaktapur to Banepa and brought to the Laiku Ganeshsthan in Banepa this afternoon.
The dance will be conducted under the leadership of the traditional dance group, with the participation of the relevant Guthiyar, members of the traditional Ngat Twa Samaj and the locals, informed the coordinator of the committee, Shubhalakshmi Manandhar. According to her, after the Mangal Yatra with cultural music, the goddess will be entered into the Laiku Dabli and various traditional style goddess dances will be performed until midnight.
Once in twelve years, there is a tradition of performing the Shree Shwetkali Devi dance at Nara Devi in Kathmandu, Taleju Bhawani of Hanumandhoka Durbar, Nasal Chowk, Kumari Ghar, Indrachowk, Basantapur, Lalitpur, Kirtipur, Bhaktapur and the Laiku Dabli in Banepa.
