One person died in a car accident today in Chainpur, Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-6, along the BP Highway.

The car (Ba 7 Cha 7554) going from Biratnagar to Kathmandu lost control and fell 42 feet off the road.

Three members of the same family were injured in the accident. According to DSP Suryaprakash Subedi of the District Police Office, the car driven by Om Bahadur Arjeel, 65, of Biratnagar Sub-metropolitan City-17, Morang, lost control and crashed.

After the accident, the police rescued the injured and took them to Atmiya Community Hospital in Khalte for treatment. DSP Subedi said that Om Bahadur, who was taken to the hospital for treatment, died.

The condition of the deceased's wife, 49-year-old Sunita Arjeel, is critical. His son, Nishant Arjeel, 31, has been sent to Dhulikhel Hospital for further treatment after receiving primary treatment at Atmiya Community Hospital in Khalte.
