Electricity supply has been stopped in Madi Municipality of the district for the past three days. Due to the problem with the underground transmission line, electricity supply was stopped in Madi municipality from 2 am on Saturday morning.

According to Rajkumar Shrestha, head of Electricity Authority Distribution Center Chanauli, there have been problems in two of the underground electrified locations. Due to the rain since Saturday, there has been a problem in the underground line placed near Riukhola. He said, 'There was a problem in electricity transmission due to the water being too frozen.' 

Similarly, he informed that there was a problem due to the collision of the equipment while widening the width of the road in the underground electrification wire inside the Chitwan National Park. According to him, the problem of both places will be solved and electricity supply will be facilitated by this evening. Shrestha said that the repair work is currently being done at the place where the problem occurred. There are 12,000 customers in Madi municipality.
