The women of Manthali Municipality-8 Chisapani of Ramechhap have become active in the homestay business in the village through collective efforts. After the training received in collaboration with the local government and development partner organizations, they started providing services systematically from their own homes.
Three women's groups are currently operating a homestay in Chisapani as a result of the training conducted in coordination with the Ward Office and Community Development Society (CDS) Manthali.
Local women Shanta Shrestha, Mamta Shrestha and Shobha Shrestha are serving the guests with traditional village hospitality, pure atmosphere and delicious food through Bhimsen Mandir Homestay Group. Shanta Shrestha, a member of the group, said that by putting into practice the skills learned in the
training, the practice of becoming independent in the village was started. She said, 'Where we are, dishes are made from organic items found in the village. For the taste of which guests come from far away.'
As the heat of the capital Manthali passes, many people come to Chisapani to experience the cool weather, greenery and peaceful environment of Chisapani. Another member of the group, Mamta Shrestha, says, 'Not many people know about our services. But guests also come from Bhaktapur. The three of us have been welcoming and providing food and lodging services to the guests.'
