108 manes made of the same color and shape make the hill not only religious but also a beautiful place for those who enjoy walking. There is Sunapati Mahadev temple with a 35 feet high Shiva idol located at the bottom of the hill.

"The tall Sunapati hill is a wonderful confluence of religion, culture and tourism," said local JB Vishwakarma, "With the development of infrastructure, this area is becoming a destination for religious tourism."

Sunapati hill, situated at a height of 2,250 meters, is considered to be important from natural, cultural and religious point of view. According to Vishwakarma, this area, which reflects the cultural role of Buddhists, has recently started attracting tourists from Hindus and other religions.

Vivek Ghimire of Ramechhap municipality-8 said that the experience of Sunapati hill is different. According to him, it has become an easy destination for tourists as it is not far from the capital Kathmandu and can be easily reached after a three-hour road trip from the capital Manthali. 

'Sunapati Hill is especially important for Hindus and Buddhists,' he said. A 56-feet tall Buddha statue has been built at the cost of around 40 million rupees in Maryang Danda of the rural municipality, while a magnificent statue of Padmasambhava has been installed in Lama Tol with the same budget. 

According to the rural municipality, a tourism route has also been built at a cost of 1.5 million rupees to connect these religious and cultural places.

According to the president of the rural municipality, Bolura Kancha Tamang, the rural municipality has put forward a long plan to develop rural tourism as an economic source. "There are five wards in our rural municipality," he said, "in all these wards, religious and tourist infrastructure is being built gradually through Gauravka Yojana." According to the same plan, in the last fiscal year 2081/82, special emphasis was placed on the development of tourism infrastructure in Ward No. 3, said Tamang, Chairman of the Rural Municipality.

During that period alone, a 35-feet tall Shiva idol was constructed at Sunapati Hill at a cost of 40 lakh rupees. Similarly, one hundred and eight traditional waves have been constructed for 25 lakhs, an attractive stage for 10 lakhs and a tourist route has been built at a cost of more than 15 lakhs.  According to
