With the positive effects on health, the general public's attraction towards Ayurvedic treatment in Ramechhap has increased. In the last financial year, nearly 31 thousand people have taken various services through the Ayurveda and Alternative Hospital in Manthali.
The number of patients coming to this hospital, which is run in the district headquarters, Manthali, is increasing every day. Lekh Bahadur Vick of Ramechhap Municipality-8 Babiyakhark said that even the residents of remote villages believe in herbal remedies.
He has been undergoing treatment for drug related problems for 15 days, he said, "Even though I went to various hospitals in Nepal and India, I did not get much benefit, but after coming here, I feel that something is easier."
Rural residents are more attracted to Ayurveda because herbal medicines do not affect other parts of the body, he said. Services like OPD, Panchakarma, Ksharasutra, Physiotherapy, Acupuncture, Lab, Consultation and Ayurvedic medicine distribution are in operation in the hospital.
