On the occasion of Janaipurnima festival, the district monitoring committee has requested the hotel owners of the religious route to arrange food and accommodation for the pilgrims going to Gosaikund at a fixed price. The committee has instructed the hoteliers to arrange affordable and quality food and accommodation for the convenience of the pilgrims.

In the past, after complaints were received that pilgrims were cheated, the local administration through the monitoring committee instructed the hoteliers to arrange accessible and quality food and accommodation by conducting on-site inspection of the hotels on the Gosaikund religious route.  The team headed by District Monitoring Committee Coordinator and Assistant Chief District Officer Druv Prasad Adhikari has instructed the businessmen to provide quality service by inspecting the hotels and lodges of permanent structure on the religious route and temporary students (tharku in local language) built for the duration of the fair. According to the coordinator of

, they are operating hotels and lodges with a permanent account number (PAN) against the purpose, serving uncooked food, not cleaning the rooms including rags, taking personal money without keeping a price list, and not keeping a bill.

Stating that fines have been paid to 26 hotels on the footpath that work against the rules, the coordinating officer informed that alcohol was sold on the religious path, prohibited and expired materials were found and those materials were confiscated and destroyed. According to him, 380,000 fines have been collected from 26 hotel owners who have been prosecuted.

Keeping in mind the situation where travelers can be cheated on the religious route, the efforts made by Chief District Officer Arjun Paudel to control the black market are commendable. Plainclothes police have been mobilized to assist travelers and control and monitor the black market, according to the district administration office.

The local administration has requested everyone to help by reporting to the nearest police or district police office mobile number 9851275555 and district administration office Rasuwa mobile number 9851227777 if the travelers coming to fill the special fair on July 24th are cheated.
