Bagmati Province Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama Tamang has said that he will not resign from his post.

After the no-confidence motion against him by the Bagmati Pradesh Congress Parliamentary Party was passed by a majority vote, Chief Minister Lama, talking to the media, said that even if he stepped down as the leader of the party, he should and would not resign as the Chief Minister. 

'Even if the leader of the parliamentary party is removed, it does not mean that he should resign as the chief minister,' he said, 'Government is one part, parliamentary party is another part . It is not necessary to be the leader of the party to be the chief minister, so there is no reason to remove him from the post of chief minister even if he is removed from the party's parliamentary party leader.'

After the motion of no confidence against him was passed, he said that the leader selection process will start now as the leader of the party is vacant.
