Due to the flood that occurred in Lhende River on 24th of June last year, the highway has been put into operation in the Avarudwa Syafrabensi-Rasuwagadhi section. Chief District Officer of Rasuwa, Arjun Paudel, said that in the first phase, the road has been brought into one-way operation from this afternoon.
Prazia Poudel informed that the highway up to Rasuwagadhi has been opened with the help of dozers and excavators from the road department, Rasuwagadhi and Bhotekoshi hydropower projects and light vehicles are currently plying.
Due to the flood, roads have been damaged in dozens of places from Syafrubensi to Rasuwagadhi, and the geological conditions at Lingling are weak and uncomfortable, so it took weeks to open a new track.
According to the Galchi Trishuli Rasuwagadhi Road Improvement Project, the light vehicles that left Kathmandu will now reach Rasuwagadhi directly. Khadgalal Shrestha, the head of the project, informed that after the newly excavated soil freezes, permission will be given to the operation of large cargo vehicles.
Between Lingling and Timure and Tatopani, there is a flood at the bottom of the Bhotekoshi road in these two places, keeping in mind the possibility of flooding, security personnel have also been requested to operate vehicles only after understanding the condition of the road.
