No traffic will be allowed on BP highway from July 1st.
District Security Committee Kavrepalanchok's security meeting on Tuesday decided to ban the operation of passenger vehicles and private vehicles on the highway throughout July from 5 pm to 5 am, District Administration Office Kavre Assistant Chief District Officer Sudarshan Shrestha informed.
According to the decision of the inter-district security coordination committee meeting of Kavre, Sindhuli and Ramechhap held at Khukort in Sindhuli on June 6, driving of vehicles was banned for 15 days from 6:30 pm to 5 am due to the risk of landslides in the dry season. According to the said decision, traffic operation was stopped at night due to danger in various places from Kavrevanjang of Kavre to Khurkot section of Sindhuli. Keeping the same decision in place, the security meeting of District Security Committee Kavrepalanchok on June 18 decided to extend the deadline for 15 days and stop the operation of passenger vehicles and private vehicles on the highway in the evening.
