Prakash Raj Pandey, a young mountaineer from Ramechhap, is going to leave for Indonesia while climbing the highest peak of the seven continents under the Seven Summit campaign.

His goal is to successfully climb the Castrange Pyramid, the tallest peak in the Oceania region. Pandey, whose permanent home is Likhu Tamakosi Rural Municipality-7, Tilpung, has so far successfully climbed Mount Everest, Manaslu, also known as 'Killer Mountain', as well as the highest peaks in Europe, Africa and South America.

'I am currently preparing for Kastrange Pyramid under the Seven Summit Campaign,' Pandey said, 'Everyone's support and cooperation is needed in this campaign. The support I received from some local governments has given me more encouragement.'

Pandey informed that his birthplace Likhu Tamakosi rural municipality has provided a package of adventure gear used in mountain climbing as a support.

Rural Municipality Chairman Keshav Mahat said that he was happy to accompany him on such an adventurous and inspiring journey. "We will continue to support such talent in the future," said President Mahat, "We believe that other municipalities should also support such efforts."

Pandey said that he is proud that he is able to make the name of the country and the village known in a challenging field like mountaineering. Also, thanking the local government for their support, he expressed his commitment to continue in the same glorious work in the future.
