One person has died after being swept away by Towas river located in Bhimfedi rural municipality-1 of Makwanpur.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyamu Aryal informed that 50-year-old Purushottam Sharma, a resident of Birgunj Metropolitan City-5 in Parsa, died while bathing in the river this afternoon.
Sharma, who had a forest dinner with his friends from Birganj, was bathed in the river when the flow of water suddenly increased, he said.
