Dhading District Court has decided life imprisonment for Sanglan three people in the case of murder. On the night of 27 March, the police found Chudamani Kandel of Gajuri rural municipality-2 of Dhading dead inside his house.
The police arrested Akkal Bahadur Praja on May 3 and his nephew Prithlal Thing and son-in-law Sanchalal Muktan on May 16 on the grounds that they were involved in Chudamani's murder. District Court Dhading information officer Keshavraj Adhikari said that the sentence of life imprisonment has been given to all three people.
According to the police, Chudamani had been planning to kill his wife for a long time. For that, he made a plan with Akkal Bahadur who was farming on his own land. For that, he made a 'deal' with Akkal in 081 for four lakhs. Chudamani initially gave 16 thousand 600 rupees in vain at the beginning.
Chudamani returned from Kathmandu last March and gave the remaining 3 lakh 82 thousand rupees to Akkal asking him to finish the work. But after understanding the money, Chudamani could not do the work as he was told, and started threatening and pressuring him repeatedly .
After receiving the money in two installments, Akkal made a plan together with his nephew Parne Prithalal and son-in-law Parne Sanchalal to complete the work according to plan . But after they failed to kill Chudamani's wife even after four attempts, they started pressurizing Chudamani to return the money if he did not do the job as per his request. After that, it was revealed in the police investigation that Akkal had planned to kill Chudamani.
A team with common sense initially took Chudamani inside on the pretext of seeing the toilet and punched him and knocked him unconscious . Then they hit him with a stick and tied a rope around his neck and finally killed him by hitting him with a spade. At the time of the incident, Akkal Bahadur sat outside the house and monitored.
According to the police, after the murder, the three shared 382,000 rupees. After that, Akkal Bahadur went to the village and hid, while Prith and Sanchalal took a bus to escape to the east. The police recovered one lakh rupees from Akkal's house and Chudamani's broken mobile phone.
