Arani highway has been completely closed due to landslides in three places of Bhotekosi rural municipality. According to Chief Police Inspector Jagat Bahadur Rai of Area Police Office Kodari, landslides occurred in Kodari of Bhotekosi-2, Larcha of Ward No. 3 and Koplang of Ward No. 2.

The highway has been completely closed as the landslide removal work continues. He said that the container transportation which was operated through Tatopani crossing was stopped when the road collapsed. 

Meanwhile, three houses have been damaged due to a landslide in Bhotekosi-2's Liping Bazar along with continuous rain. Chief District Officer Kiran Thapa informed that the houses of locals Padam Shrestha, Phoolmaya Tamang and Sunita Shrestha were damaged due to the landslide.
