To connect the 4 wards of Makwanpur's Manhari rural municipality, the rural municipality has completed the construction of 5 concrete bridges from internal sources.
Bagmati Provincial Assembly member Indra Bahadur Baniyan inaugurated the concrete bridge, which was completed by the rural municipality by spending about 33.5 million rupees from its own internal resources.
3 of the 5 concrete bridges under construction under the Lamitar-Makri-Chakri-Beldanda road have been completed and inaugurated last year. The remaining 2 bridges were inaugurated on Saturday. The bridge built at Thadokhola and Handikhola located in Manhari-3 was inaugurated by MP Baniyan.
8.40 meters wide and 90 meters long 3-span vertical bridge was completed by Hirachan Baniyan JV with a contract of 86.67 lakh 5 thousand rupees. Likewise, the 35 meter long one-span Handikhola bridge was constructed by Bhairav Narayanam JV with a contract of Rs 5 crore 35 lakh 51 thousand. Chapalkhola bridge connecting Manhari 1 and 2, Twangra river bridge connecting 3 and 4 and Masine river bridge connecting wards 3 and 4 were inaugurated in May last year.
3-span Chapel river bridge of 6 crore 28 lakh 98 thousand rupees, 2 span of Twangra river 6 crore 49 lakh 60 thousand rupees and 2 span of 74.55 meters long Masine river bridge has already been completed for 6 crore 59 lakh 50 thousand rupees . All the three bridges were constructed by Baniyan Hirachan JV. Although the construction of the bridge was started in 2077 to be completed within 2 years, due to various problems, the construction side extended the time and completed the construction of all the bridges .
According to the concept of developing an alternative route through Ward No. 13 of Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city and connecting Ward No. 1 to No. 4 of Manhari, the rural municipality had entered into a multi-year contract for the construction of 5 bridges simultaneously in 2077 to be financed from internal resources. It is expected that with the completion of the construction of all the bridges under that road, it will be easier for the farmers of Hadikhola Village to market their agricultural produce and the daily life of the local residents will also be easier. Inaugurating the
bridge, Provincial Assembly member Baniyan expressed his belief that with the construction of the bridge, it will help to deliver the agricultural products of Handikhola to the market easily.
Baniyan expressed his belief that the provincial government will allocate the necessary budget for leveling and blackening the Lamitar-Chakri-Makri Padampokhari road . Baniyan also promised to allocate budget from the state government to build a bridge connecting Hetaunda-13 Padampokhari from Chakri. He claimed that the current system is in the interest of the people, saying that many development works have been done after the federalism and republic.
Rural Municipality Chairman Ranjan Kalakheti expressed his happiness saying that the residents of 4 wards of Manhari Rural Municipality will benefit directly after the completion of the bridge construction . He said that now they will pay attention to road leveling.
