One person has been arrested on the charge of fatal attack on a businessman in Rapti Road, the main market of Hetaunda. The arrested person is 35-year-old Vijay Thing of Hetaunda-12 Padampokhari.
On Thursday, Thing was arrested by the police on the charge of fatal attack on Vindal Das, the owner of Das Emporium cloth shop at Hetaunda-10 Rapti Road, about 61 years old. According to District Police Office Makwanpur, Thing used obscene words and hit the slave on the head with a wooden stick saying that the price of the cloth was high.
"We have arrested 35-year-old Vijay Thing of Padampokhari who hit the owner of the shop on the head with a wooden cylinder while arguing that the price was too high", District Police Office Makwanpur Chief (Superintendent of Police) Vishwaraj Khadka said, "We have started further investigation in the case of industrial offense that caused the death of Thing." We have identified other people involved in the incident and have started the investigation.'
The police administration has been protesting that there was a fatal attack on a businessman in broad daylight at a distance of about one minute from the busy city and district police office. The police detained and interrogated around 15 people suspected of being involved in the fatal attack on the businessman. At around 3 o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the owner of Das Emporium in Hetaunda Rapti Road was attacked.
The slave's leg is injured. He is being treated at Hetaunda Hospital. Against the incident of attack on businessmen, various associations related to businessmen, including the Makwanpur Industry and Commerce Association, issued a statement and demanded strict action against the culprits.
