Due to the rain since last night, there has been a problem to travel on the Suryavinayak-Jagati road in Bhaktapur under Arani highway.

Chief of District Traffic Police Complex Bhaktapur and Police Inspector Pradeep Khatri informed that due to rain, the road under construction going to Kavrepalanchok through Suryavinayak-Jagati of Bhaktapur is being operated in one way .

Due to the delay in the construction of the six-lane road on the highway connecting Bhaktapur and Kavre district, the Bhaktapur section of the road coming towards Sanga and Bhaktapur of Kavre has become very dangerous due to rain.

He informed that only the vehicles coming from Kavre towards Bhaktapur were allowed to come from Sang after the risk of vehicles slipping on the road. According to him, light four-wheeled vehicles including two-wheelers going to Kavre via Bhaktapur have been diverted from Jagad through Chamhsin to Banepa via Tatli-Nala road.

Big cargo vehicles going from Bhaktapur to Kavre have been stopped at Sallaghari square and Jagati. Due to the fact that the Suryavinayak-Dhulikhel road section is under construction, even a light rain in the Sanga section causes the road to become slippery.

As there was a risk of the vehicle slipping and falling down hundreds of feet, the vehicle was diverted one-way. According to the traffic police, when the road starts to become slippery, big vehicles are unable to climb up, they are stuck on the road, while small vehicles are skidding and falling. Even though the risk increases in rains, the problem has arisen due to the inability to work quickly to solve the problem.
