26 animal health clinics have been constructed in Bagmati province. The Bagmati state government has built 26 animal health clinics so far under the 'One Ward One Animal Health Clinic' program included in the budget of the last financial year 2079/80.
Although the government has decided to establish animal health clinics in 30 places where animal health services cannot be reached within the province, the clinic construction work has been stopped in 4 places due to various reasons . The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development of Bagmati Province has completed construction of 4 animal health clinics in Chitwan, 3 in Makwanpur, 2 in Sindhuli, 2 in Ramechhap, 3 in Dolkha, 3 in Sindhupalchok and 5 in Kavre. Suwas Kshetli informed.
According to him, 4 animal health clinics are under construction in Dhading district of Bagmati province. Ministry spokesperson Suzan Kandel informed that clinics have been established in villages where the number of animals and birds is high in the province and far from the reach of veterinary expert centers. "There will be an animal health technician in the clinic," he said, "all kinds of treatment services for animals will be available from here." After the clinic is established, the farmers of the poor rural areas of the province will benefit.
Spokesperson Kandel said that 50 million was spent on the construction of an animal health clinic out of the budget of 150 million allocated for the construction of an animal health clinic.
