The construction of two bridges connecting three wards of Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city has been completed.
On Monday, Hetaunda Mayor Meenakumari Lama and Deputy Mayor Rajesh Banian jointly inaugurated the bridge connecting Hetaunda-7 and 8 and connecting No. 6 and 7 . With the construction of the bridge, the common people of this ward will get relief from the problems caused by landslides.
Hetaunda-Nagaswati-Hatiya Road Section Hetaunda sub-metropolis was built in Kharema in Hariyali connecting Ward No. 6 and 7 and Omnagar Kharema in Ward No. 8 The constructed bridge has been inaugurated.
The 11-meter-long bridge connecting Ward No. 6 and 7 was constructed at a cost of 19 million rupees, while the 14-meter-long bridge in Ward No. 8 was completed at a cost of 82,33,986 rupees, according to the office of the Sub-Metropolitan Corporation.
The bridge connecting Hetaunda 6 and 7 was built by the municipality and the bridge number 8 was built with the allocated budget of the provincial government. Inaugurating the bridge, Mayor Lama said that the problem has been solved during the rainy season due to the lack of two bridges. She claimed that she is doing planned work for the all-round development of Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city and said that the work of development will be intensified based on the need. The
program was attended by ward members and major representatives of various organizations along with the president of the respective ward.
