The Division Forest Office has grown 193,410 saplings for the current financial year. The plants were grown in the nursery in the office premises.

According to Devi Prasad Paudel, information officer of the office, the plants were grown by the District Forest Production Supply Committee and the Divisional Forest Office. It includes herb plants, grasses, fruits and multipurpose plants, perennial plants. 

120,000 plants from the supply committee, 73,410 plants from the Division Forest Office were produced, he said. According to him, through the Division Forest Office, 30,000 plants of herbs, 15,000 plants of grasses, fruits and multi-purpose plants and 28,410 plants of perennials have been grown. The work of separating the varieties of plants produced by the supply committee is going on.

Grasses, large woody plants and multi-purpose plants have been produced from here. Perennial plants are useful for planting in road areas. These plants are used to keep the road green and beautiful. He said, 'Perennial plants will help to make tree planting successful.'

Paudel said that since the previous year's plants were less, they are going to produce more plants this year. Last year, the office produced only 92,000 plants. 80,000 saplings were produced by the committee and 12,000 saplings were produced by the Division Forest Office. He said, 'Plant production is being done to distribute from June 15.'

office is currently producing more than 20 species of plants. Paudel said that there are plants such as Harro, Barro, Amla, Neem, Jamun, Shrikhand, Bell, Tejpatta, Chap, Nibua, Amba, Vadhar, Tanki, Koirala etc.
