An old lady has died after falling from a mountain in Makwanpur. 98-year-old Jit Bahadur Lama of Wakaiya Rural Municipality-6 Suda died after falling from a mountain.

According to the district police office Hetaunda, he died after falling from a tree in the Gitawar community forest located in Vakaiya rural municipality-5 Rajdamar. 

Lama who went to look for firewood in the forest fell about 30 meters down from Bhir. Ward president Lakshmi Jimwa said that he died on the spot. Lama's body has been brought to Hetaunda Hospital for post-mortem. 

According to District Police Office Makwanpur, 11 people have died in Makwanpur this current season alone. 15 people have been injured after falling from Bhir.
