The police have arrested a young man who stole a water meter. The police have arrested 21-year-old Suresh Kumal, a resident of Vanskhandi, Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city-2, with the stolen meter.

The water meter installed in the house of Yama Bahadur Lamichhane at Hetaunda-4 Bhuvansinghpath was stolen on Thursday night. Police Deputy Superintendent and Spokesperson Shyamu Aryal said that he was arrested while walking on the road with a meter.

Kumal has been extended 7 days by District Court Makwanpur for further investigation. 

The theft of water meters has increased in Hetaunda for three months.
