Tul Bahadur Thapa of Makwanpur Bhimfedi Rural Municipality-6, Jurikhet was always in a hurry to go to school. Even after eating early and walking briskly, he struggled to reach school on time. It took about 2 hours to walk from his house to school.

Even Manduki Saraswati Lama of Bhimfedi used to take almost an hour and a half to reach from home to school. Sometimes, by the time he arrived, the studies had already started. Many times she has returned from the gate.

The school locks the Mulgate itself after 10 o'clock. After 10 o'clock teachers, students who come late should return through the gate. This problem is not only Tul Bahadur and Saraswati. Deurali, Chisapani, Damar, Pandrang, Dhorsing, Golpingwesi, Apchaur, Mandu,   It belongs to the students of Gadeli, Jurikhet, Urlaghari, Dhuseni and other areas.

Now their problem has been solved. Bhimfedi Rural Municipality-6 Mahendra Secondary School in Bhimfedi Bazar, with the help of 2.5 lakhs from the Ministry of Social Development of Bagmati Province, 42-seater bus has been put into operation.

The Ministry of Social Development has been supporting public schools under the School Bus Service Subsidy Program with the aim of increasing access to education for all by making community schools better. From the year 2076/77, the ministry has supported Rs. 25 lakh per school to run bus services for the convenience of students studying in public schools.

According to Badrinath Gayre, the secretary of the ministry, 25 lakh rupees have been provided to run the bus service by looking at the criteria of the schools which have many students and have to come from far away in the 13 districts of the province. The government expects that the bus service in public schools will also help the educational quality. The ministry believes that the students will not get tired after the bus facility in the school and it will not affect their studies.

Social Development Minister Hariprabha Khadki said that after the bus service was started in schools, the problem of students missing classes from far away places has been solved. The Ministry has so far sent 25/25 lakh rupees to 97 schools to purchase buses. The school itself added the insufficient amount and bought the bus and brought it into operation.

Most of the school buses are operating in 24 community schools of Makwanpur.
