The police station in Fikkal rural municipality-4 of Sindhuli, which is suffering due to lack of physical infrastructure, has shifted from a tent to a concrete building after a decade.
The police had to work day and night to serve the people. After a decade of being established at Fikkal-4 Khangsang in Sindhuli, the post moved to a concrete building on Tuesday. The
building was inaugurated by Surajchand Lamichhane, Minister of Internal Affairs and Law of Bagmati Province. The building, which has been constructed at a cost of 2.46 million government, has two and a half floors. Minister Lamichhane informed that the state government has already completed the construction of 66 police station buildings and handed them over.
The tents received after the 2072 earthquake were unable to live due to water leaks. In the dilapidated building where the office is located, there was no place to put a cot, so they had to crawl on the floor. The police complained that due to the building being wrapped with bamboo thatches and roofs, there was frost in winter and it was impossible to stay warm in summer.
In the temporary police station established in 2071, there were 5 people working including a deputy inspector of police. There are 15 people here, but currently only 8 people are working under the leadership of Sai.
