Hariharpurgadhi Rural Municipality-1 Baseri, three people were injured in a lightning strike on Saturday evening. One person is in serious condition.

According to Superintendent of Police Govindraj Kafle of the District Police Office, 52-year-old Sukumaya Moktan, 65-year-old Mahant Rumba and 26-year-old Phulmaya Rumba, residents of Hariharpurgarhi Rural Municipality-1, were injured. He informed that the condition of Sukumaya among the injured is serious.

Stating that the injured Mahant and Fulmaya are being treated at the local medical center, Superintendent of Police Kafle informed that Sukumaya has been sent to Hetauda for further treatment. On Saturday evening, there was sudden wind, rain and lightning in the

district. He said that the details of the damage caused by the storm in different places of the district have not been received. 

Meanwhile, electricity service has been disrupted in the district since this evening. Due to the storm, the service was interrupted due to the damage to the electric wires and poles at various places. Electricity distribution center Sindhuli said that efforts are being made to restore electricity.
