In Makwanpur, the son died when his parents retaliated by calling him a thief. 39-year-old son Bharath Vlon died when 64-year-old Min Bahadur Vlon and 63-year-old Devimaya of Indrasarovar Rural Municipality-3 Aduwawari resisted calling them thieves.
Min Bahadur and Devimaya were preparing to have dinner around 8 pm on Thursday. At the same time, a young man wearing a mask entered and threw chili powder in the eyes of the Vlon couple. After throwing chili powder, the couple also suspected that a thief had come, so they also reacted.
According to DSP Shyamu Aryal of District Police Office Makwanpur, the couple attacked the 'thief' with whatever they found in the kitchen. After the indiscriminate attack, the masked man also attacked the old man. There was a clash between the two sides. Finally, the couple caught the thief and tied him up and informed the police. When the police arrived, the person called the thief was in a bloody state, blood was flowing from the head. Min Bahadur's hand, mouth and head were injured. Devimaya's eyes and hands were injured.
'The police then put all three people in a car and brought them to Hetounda Hospital,' DSP Aryal said, 'The person who was called a thief was referred to Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan for further treatment from Hetounda Hospital.' During treatment, Bharath died on Friday afternoon, police said.
The Vlon couple undergoing treatment at Hetaunda Hospital has been taken to Kathmandu for further treatment. The police team that reached Vlon's house for further investigation on Friday morning found a bag thrown outside the house. A passport was found inside the bag. The passport belonged to Bharath, the son of the Vlon couple. 39-year-old Bharath Kumar Bhlon had not returned home for two years . According to the police, the person who came on Thursday night was his son.
Mother Devimaya told the police that her eldest son Bharath came wearing a mask and did not recognize her. It is not clear whether Bharath came to the house to steal or not. The police has also started an investigation on this. The police also found a mobile phone from the scene.
As Bharath's family lives in Kathmandu, the police is trying to contact them. But it said that it could not be contacted.
