Repairs have been started under the leadership of the road department in various sections of the flood-damaged BP highway from Bhakundebensi to Nepalthok.

According to the department, the work has started on the 13 km section of the highway which has suffered a lot of damage. Reconstruction of 8.5 km of the damaged 13 km road has started.

Suman Yogesh, head of road division office in Bhaktapur, informed that repairs have been started at 14 damaged places. He said, 'currently we have given the first priority to the BP highway, the goal is not to block the traffic on this route. If necessary, we also work at night.'

Last Saturday, a team including Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Devendra Dahal inspected the highway on site. During the inspection, Minister Dahal expressed his commitment that there will be no shortage of resources to rebuild the road.
