Residential allowance has been given to teachers teaching in hilly areas of Bharatpur Metropolitan City. Teachers who teach in schools in the hilly areas of Bharatpur-29 have been given housing allowance at the rate of two thousand per month.
According to Subas Acharya, the head of the education department of the metropolis, in the last financial year, 12 months allowance will be provided in the current year. Last year, 33 teachers got this facility.
According to Acharya, among the 11 schools in Bharatpur-29, apart from Kavilas Mavi, which is located along the highway, this facility has been given to teachers who live on rent. There are two secondary schools in the ward. Among them, since the teachers teaching in Kavilas will not get allowance, one secondary school and the remaining basic school teachers will get benefits.
Metropolitan Mayor Renu Dahal said that teachers who are teaching by renting rooms in rural areas have been given stipends as an incentive. She expressed her belief that this facility will encourage teachers working in hilly areas and improve education. He said that this will also solve the problem that most teachers do not want to go to hilly areas when facilities are available in hilly areas.
