Chief Minister Lama made a commitment for child marriage-free Nepal

Bahadur Singh Lama, Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, has expressed his commitment for child marriage-free Nepal. He signed the pledge among children and representatives of 'Just Rights for Children in Nepal' for a child marriage-free Nepal.

Stating that he and his government are committed to the campaign to end child marriage, Chief Minister Lama also said that the Bagmati government has already made policies and laws to end child marriage. After that, the Federal Minister of Women, Children and Senior Citizens and the Minister of Social Development of the seven provincial governments jointly launched a national campaign. This global campaign is running in about 28 countries in 3 continents.
