The fire that broke out in the Mahabharata Community Forest in the southern area of ​​Kavrepalanchok is yet to be brought under control. There was a fire in the community forest located in Khanikhola Rural Municipality-1 Thamalekh Danda from Tuesday afternoon.

Chief District Officer Umesh Kumar Dhakal informed that the team of Nepali Army and Police sent in that direction on Wednesday evening is coordinating with the locals and taking control measures.

According to him, the security personnel have been asked to monitor the fire area and the human settlement and take control measures to prevent the fire from reaching the human settlement and to relocate immediately if there is damage. 

According to Division Forest Office Dhulikhel, the fire started from the Bhir area of ​​the forest on Tuesday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. District Police Office Dhulikhel has informed that there is currently no fire control situation.

Krishna Bahadur Thapa, head of the forest office, said that a team has been sent to monitor the situation for fire control. According to him, since the fire is spreading in the forest, a solution will be found today in a joint meeting of the district administration office and security agencies to control it.

Prazia Dhakal said that more manpower will be mobilized with necessary equipment in coordination with other concerned agencies for fire control. It is said that the human settlement is at a distance of about three kilometers from the place of the fire. The police said that no human or animal damage has been reported so far.
