Obstruction by locals on the road
One person died and two others were injured when a cargo truck going from Dolakha to Kathmandu hit a motorcycle and a scooter on Friday.
According to District Police Sindhupalchok, Lisankhupakhar Rural Municipality-7 was hit by a truck number Madhesh Pradesh 03 02 B 0534 in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-7 of Lamosanghu Jiri road section. Dawa Chhiring Tamang of Dandapakhar died on the spot.
After being hit by a truck, the motorcycle number Ba02-033 P 7306 of Tamang suddenly caught fire . Locals tried to put out the fire after seeing Tamang burning with motorcycle. Police said that after the incident, the same cargo truck hit the Ba Pr 02-048 P 7539 scooter. The police said that the two injured people who were riding the scooter are being treated at Sindhu Sadavahar Hospital, Khadichour Bazar, Balefi Rural Municipality-7.
The driver of the cargo truck absconded after the incident. Police Inspector Sumesh Pandey of District Police Barhabise said that Kiran Shah's truck from Tanahun has been taken into custody by the police.
Locals' obstruction on the road
After the death of a local youth in an accident, the angry locals gathered eight kilos of vehicles and stopped them. After the road was blocked in eight kilometers of the Lamosanghu-Jiri road section, the vehicles and passengers traveling to Dolakha and Ramechhap were stranded.
40 policemen from Jalvire, Balefi and Mude of IPR have been deployed at the scene, including 11 under the command of police inspector Kiran Lama from the district.
